who own and manage land. The actions of Beckhithe Farms are hugely influential in
creating, conserving and improving the wildlife and conservation value of Broads
wetland. They are justly proud of the countryside they are creating, and their obvious
enthusiasm for farmimg with nature is spreading their experience far and wide.

We are pleased to work closely with Beckhithe Farms on managing grazing and water
levels both on and off our nature reserves. This benefits breeding wading birds like
lapwings and redshanks, and wintering birds including wigeon, bean geese and
golden plovers.

Beckhithe Farms' sensitive management of the Halvergate Marshes and close
co-operation with the Broads Authority has helped rejuvenate the landscape and

Broads Internal Drainage Board
The King's Lynn Consortium of Internal Drainage Boards are responsible for land
drainage and flood defence services for much of Norfolk, and provision for fresh
water supply to Halvergate Marshes ESA. We appreciate the professional and
